Forecasting your future
Kennesaw, GA – Forecasting your Future
Every choice, every decision affects your destiny. We don’t know the future but we can forecast it with pretty good accuracy by following the data that we create.
My advice is to play the long game by making good choices today. Like Dr. Humphries told me once… “Don’t expect God to heal you of lung cancer if you’ve smoked cigarettes for 40 years”.
We become what we think and repeatedly choose to do. Generate good data for your life’s algorithm. Data analytics forecast the future with remarkable accuracy.

Commit, don’t capitulate
Acworth, GA – “Commit, don’t capitulate”
Here is a formula for happiness that is super easy to understand.
– ( – ) = ( + )
Removing Negativity equals Positivity
1. Know what you want – Make a list
2. Know what to do – Make a plan
3. Know what to focus on – remove obstacles and begin
4. Know what your resources are and when to replenish

Being True To Yourself
Applying the 80/20 Rule and 100 hours
Marietta, GA – Applying the 80/20 Rule and 100 hours
The rule of 100 states that if you spend 100 hours a year, which is 18 minutes a day – in any discipline, you’ll be better than 95% of the world, in that discipline. Anders Ericcson developed this formula of purposeful practice in a study that was published in 1976.
In addition, the Pareto Principle or the 80/20 Rule as it has come to be known, breaks down the percentages that separate the masses from the average, the gifted to the exceptional. If we want to be exceptional or elite in any given group, we should expect to be different. Act differently, on purpose.
Read something meaningful such as a good book for 18 minutes a day (Facebook or Instagram doesn’t count) and you will be in the top 5% percentile of all readers. Practice a skill for just 4 or 5 hours a day and you will rise to the top 1% of your field.
Are you willing to be exceptional? To be in the top 1% of whatever path you choose?
Thank you all for your awesome feedback and comments, I appreciate it more than you know.

Prepare for the Possibility
Kennesaw, GA – Ability plus Opportunity is Everything (A + O = E)
Napoleon Bonaparte wrote that “ability without opportunity is nothing”. I like to modify this quotation to be a little more positive and say that our abilities and taking advantage of opportunity forms our destiny.
Malcom Gladwell writes in his book, “Outliers”, that successful people work hard at developing their abilities and practicing their talents, then seize opportunities when they present themselves.
Realize that we have all been given some type of privilege on this earth. When developing our potential, we should give back to others which completes the circle of our life here on this rock we call home.
