I love this! This reminds me of one of my favorite quotes by evangelist Andrew Wommack. In his book, Grace: The Power of the Gospel, he talks about the relationships he formed while serving in Vietnam. Interestingly, many of the men were proclaimed Atheists up until times of attack. In the face of true danger, these “Atheists” suddenly shifted their entire theological paradigm and began to cry out to God- the same God that they previously dismissed. From this experience, Wommack coined the phrase, “there are no Atheists in foxholes,” to suggest the impermanence of Atheism.
In my experience, this story alone has been wildly successful at grasping the attention of non-believers. If that’s not enough, then just take a look at a newborn baby!! 🙂
